Those signs in campgrounds which say "don't leave food on your table unattended"… this is why! People were stirring all over this campground, but the bear was walking silently around, looking for food left unprotected, even for a moment. Don't assume that they'll only visit at night!
I don't think that anyone ever saw this bear but +Lori Hibbett and I. You'd think that a bear this large would be hard to miss! We followed it into the campground, but it wandered off into some bushes and we weren't able to locate it again.

And you shouldn't try too hard!
We joke alot about butt shots in our family. This certainly qualifies!
oh wow!
That's right +Donna Maurice, we weren't going to run into the bushes after it! +Lori Hibbett followed on foot, and I drove around to the other side. As we tried to locate it again, no one we asked had even seen it! But there was their food on the table. All the bear needed was for someone to walk down the road for a moment, to use the rest room.
