I planned that +Thad Szabo to be able to shoot the Geminid meteor shower, but the storms made seeing the sky a challenging task. I do have some decent image sequences which should translate well into time-lapse video.
I look forward to that! I hope I can get out there in February to shoot galaxies.
"Desert snow" still sounds like an oxymoron to me. I guess I need to see it for myself! Beautiful photo!
Excellent shot. I use to live near Joshua Tree and there was nothing better than a snowy day in JTNP.
It's snowing in death valley?!
Mostly at elevations above 4000 feet +Sunny Wu. The park includes elevations over 200 feet below sea level and Telescope Peak over 11,000.
I went like 4 weeks ago and it was dry as heck. The snow sure came fast!
