BEUTIFUL PICTURE
Gorgeous image, Jeff... Love that variety of soft layers and tones...
Thanks +Shawn McClure and +Victor de la isla. It was great having the sun at this angle to highlight the sand ridges.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more of these, +Jeff Sullivan. +Scott Loftesness and I are planning a first-time trip there and I know we'll be inspired by your images (as usual). Don't forget to tell all of us from where you took the shots!
Love the gorgeous patterns of light and shadow!!
Very nice. And what a cooperative background.
"Don't forget to tell all of us from where you took the shots!"
LOL +Doug Kaye, that's what I do for a living. When my housing, food, medical and dental care, and my kids' college tuition all become free, I'll give away locations that I've driven over 240,000 miles to find. If you want to save yourself those years and miles, if you like I can let you know about my March workshop to DV once its confirmed. Promoting locations also degrades the value of photos from those locations. I ask and encourage people who I shoot with not to degrade the value of each others' photos that way.
Yeah, I thought that's what you'd say, +Jeff Sullivan. :-) But you know I had to ask! And yes, do let me know about that workshop. Timing could be good if it's not too early in the month.
Can't blame you for asking +Doug Kaye, I took your comment as a good-natured jest (but I added some detail just in case). ;-)
Based one what I saw last week Doug, this could be an excellent year for wildflowers, but spotty and inconsistent in terms of where. That's normal for DV. Fortunately DV is just down the road for me, and I tend to make several trips there before and during wildflower seasons, so I tend to have a decent read on where the intermittent rainfall (only 1.9 inches average in much of the park) has made plants the greenest that year.
