It has been cold in the Eastern Sierra this week… 10 degrees this morning at Topaz Lake. The below freezing temperatures make it a little cold for fishing, but it does create a beautiful mist on the water as the sun struggles to break through the fog and mist. This image was taken earlier this morning. I'm sorting through my images from Death Valley this week, but it's hard to ignore the nice light outside!

Thanks +Doug Alder.
nice….
It sure seemed cold to me +Jelic Lj., especially since I spotted the nice light while pouring a cup of coffee, and headed out there quickly in my pajamas!
+Jeff Sullivan This is a beautiful scene! I am a huge admirer of anyone who would brave these conditions… Believe me – I live in Florida… 🙂

Ghost Landscape.
Great shot, +Jeff Sullivan… You're a brave man (but I knew this already ;-)). Have you thought about processing it in b&w?
That'll be next +Daniel Schwabe. I like to try color pseudo-monochromes first (a descriptive phrase, not a literal one).
I'll probably want ot brighten it a bit as well, since the sun on the water didn't end up as bright in the JPG online as the larger copy I worked on in Lightroom.
wow
fog everywhere
Amazing!!
Magic, truly magic.
mystic work!
