If it happens, it will be most visible from North America and South America, around 1:30 am PST tonight:
"Peter Jenniskins, research scientist with the SETI Institute and NASA Ames Research Center, has examined dust outbursts from long-period comets and suggests the Gamma Delphinids may return for a brief moment of splendor, as Earth passes through this stream of cometary debris not seen since 1930."

If you miss the one tonight, or it doesn't turn out to be as strong as hoped, there should be some Perseid meteors in the sky during my workshop in Bodie August 9:

I captured the photo below during the Perseid Meteor shower in 2009. To see a time-lapse video of the Perseid meteor shower, here's one of my meteor shower videos on +YouTube:

Yes it is +Eleeka Louis. You can see a bunch of meteors "shooting" in my +YouTube video of this meteor shower in 2009: http://youtu.be/vroLnrBhbmk
This scene starts 1:27 into the video: http://youtu.be/vroLnrBhbmk?t=1m27s
The brief ones are meteors, the slower ones are airplanes flying over.

Gorgeous shot!!
Eyes to the Heavens! ;)
Shucks...the sun is up too high to see anything at 01:30...
Fabulous. I lived there for a while
Since we are covered with clouds I don't think I will even see the sky tonight. Last night we had lots of lightning & thunder which kept me awake! Very rare for this area. We also had some much needed rain although it wasn't a lot. I think any rain is better than none.
Wonderful picture. Thanks.
