  1. +Luis Melanie Caban The moon was as close as it gets in its orbit around earth last week. It generally appears to be 13% larger to the eye. Some years are better than others. This year was not the best view. It was still cool, but it didn't look like a dinner plate at arms length, which I have seen in the desert when the moon is close.
