Mules Ears in the Eastern Sierra

This year the bloom of "mules ear" wildflowers has been particularly strong in the Eastern Sierra region in California and Nevada.  It started in the Reno to Minden/Gardnerville area a few weeks ago, was strong in the Mono Lake area a month ago, and has moved up to the 8000 – 8500 foot level now. #wildflowers
