For those of you able to tune in to channel BBC FOUR in the U.K., a documentary on John Denver to air at 21:00 tonight will include a 15 second clip of mine from this year's Perseid meteor shower. In his sound "Rocky Mountain High", John sings "I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky", a reference to watching the Perseid meteor shower.
I grew up listening to (my parents listening to) John Denver, so this is really cool for me.
This documentary celebrating the 70th anniversary of John Denver's birth year (1943) will air again on Sat Nov 23 at 1:10 and Sun Nov 24 at 23:45 on BBC FOUR. Unfortunately +BBC America is not airing this documentary special on its first run, but I'll keep an eye out for clips online and dates for airing in the U.S..
Born Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr. on December 31, John Denver's 70th birthday would have been in just over a month, so perhaps we'll see the show air in the States in late December. #Astrophotography #timelapse #music
The BBC documentary “John Denver: Country Boy” features a 15 second clip from my 2013 coverage of the Perseid meteor shower.

Oh God!
Please let us know if and when +BBC America will show this. It would be great to see this. +Jeff Sullivan
Believe me +Doug Thompson, I'm "chomping at the bit" to see how they integrated the clip into the story, no doubt accompanying the song "Rocky Mountain High".
+Doug Thompson I found the show and was able to see my clip accompanying "Rocky Mountain High" starting at 23:12 here: http://youtu.be/cygpEFw19v0?t=23m12s
