Very nice!

Thanks +Malthus John!
That's awesome. I was trying to photograph stars in JOTR during clear moonless night, but my results weren't anywhere close to that. There seemed to be so much light pollution from towns to the west, and even distant glow from LA. That's amazing you managed to capture MW with so many details.
Beautiful
Ditto. Beautiful!
Beautiful
Thanks
Simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing your great work dear Jeff. ♥
🙂
Beautiful & Amazing.
Cool
+Paweł Zuzelski In most cases there is a lot of light pollution in Joshua Tree with Palm Springs to the south, Twentynine Palms to the north and the town of Joshua Tree to the northwest. This particular shot faces east, so as long as there aren't clouds overhead to catch the light from the sides, it's not as bad as most. I bumped up the contrast a bit in Lightroom to help sort out the detail in the Milky Way and darken the background sky. The big storms 4-7 days earlier probably helped as well, clearing the skies of smog, letting more of the starlight through and removing the junk in the air which would catch and reflect the neighboring light.
Beautiful
no way! this is too good
If you like this, you'll probably love the time-lapse video I create from this night +Amani Samad. This image is one of 200+ I captured over the course of 2+ hours, so I can assemble them into a video like this: Perseid Meteor Shower – "While The Sun Was Sleeping" by Life Audience
