Summer Milky Way

The Milky Way rises high over rocks in California's Mojave Desert.  The Milky Way rises highest in the sky around the time of the summer solstice, but you also need minimal moon interference.  Here's a blog post describing the most convenient times for you to pursue the Milky Way this summer:

  1. Wow, it's great to see G+ hopping like this, thanks so much for the generous response to my photo!  
    I've been really busy lately finishing my book, but I'll have to try to drop by G+ a little more often.
