Fall Colors on Conway Summit

This was from Monday on Conway Summit on Highway 395 in the Eastern Sierra. It's raining hard at Topaz Lake at the moment, partly cloudy on the Webcam at Mono Lake. It'll be interesting to see what's left of the fall colors in the Eastern Sierra after scattered storms this weekend. Aspen and cottonwood trees with green leaves should turn over the next 1-2 weeks, moving down in elevation into November.

  1. +Peris Patel Photos do not do that place justice. One really needs to be there to truly appreciate all of the sensory delights that can be found there. The smell of the trees…the sounds of some of the local animals, such as maybe the deer or hawks or owls, all are very special in that highly elevated land of California. Even though I believe Colorado is even nicer. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to live there (in California) as long as I did. (+- 19 years) …and in Colorado +- 15 years. [almost 1/2 of my life, to date.]
