I just passed through the Death Valley area last week, and explored wildflower conditions in the park from south to north:

I'll be returning to the park to lead a workshop March 1 – 6, to show other photographers what I've found:

Thanks Jeff I like to hear the honest reports. Things have not turned out as predicted when it comes to rain for so cal.
+John Aydelotte The season was off to such a strong start in October through December. Hopefully the storms will start to break through again before the main storm season tapers off.
+Jeff Sullivan That is my hopes. I will make one more trip to death valley I hope before it gets too hot. I know that all it takes is a good rain anytime now to make it happen. I will keep watching the weather for sure. Hope to see you there.
+Jeff Sullivan Maybe we will run into each other. We are on a respite trip to the west coast and will be in Death Valley for 3 of the days you and your group are there. Cheers.
Beautiful landscape.
+Ronald Varley I'll be in an old silver Chevy Suburban.
+Nick Gleeson Now's the time to go if you can make it.
