Captured during my Death Valley workshop last week. People said that the bloom was on decline here. Maybe so, but it's still 1000X better than a normal year, so a week's "better" conditions are irrelevant!

Heard on the news that Spring came early to Death Valley this year, a beautiful sample is your photo.
awesome view, beautiful
We were there last week as well. It certainly didn't appear to be declining. The south end of the valley was completely blanketed, and it was moving north towards Stovepipe Wells. We also saw some early signs in the canyons like Titus. Photo opportunities everywhere. 🙂
+Dave Sparks Agreed. Teh intensity of the bloom had declined down near Ashford mill, but it was 1000X better than a normal hear before, so if it had declined to "only" 900X as good, who cares? The opportunities were still tremendous, and Way, WAY above average for Death Valley. I'll probably return 2 or 3 times in the coming weeks.
Used t o live in Las Vegas. Miss seeing this every spring. Your pictures are so much better than mine! Thanks for the memories
BTW, really appreciated having your book with me on the trip. It was a nice reference.
+Dave Sparks Awesome, I'm glad that you like it, thanks! I saw it in the general store / gift shop in Furnace Creek. After working so hard on it for so long, it's great to spot it "in the wild"!
