Central Nevada Photography Workshop Scouting Highlights

Scouting locations for future Nevada photography workshops.

Here are a few sample photos from my tour of Central Nevada last week.  Most of these are from one location out of three regions I scouted, so there are many more photos to come (as I find time for blog posts)!

For 2020 we’ve worked out permission for day and night access to historic private properties and daytime access to a few historic public buildings. Our first tour will be May 20-24, then we’ll return after a night in Bodie in our July 16-21 workshop, and if demand is sufficient we’re looking at possible dates in September as well. Check our Nevada workshops page above for details.

What a grand old stairway! One of the historic buildings I was able to get permission to access.

I’m still assessing sites, itineraries and access/permissions, but when I get the details worked out, dates and registration will occur here.

  1. Hi Jeff, I’d like to purchase one of your photos, it’s probably and older one, it shows up on my Google Fiber screen saver as shared by you no Google+. It an old farm house with car out front in dessert scene. Any idea how I can find it, if it for sales as a print?

  2. After a lot of issues with portable air compressors I’ve bought through auto parts stores and (in a pinch) big box stores, I just purchased this VIair air compressor as the next one to try for remote tire repair. It’s very highly rated across lots of buyers on Amazon, and a higher capacity than other models:

    88p
45% duty cycle 4.5 minutes run time and 5.5 minutes cool down time (high for this type of product)
    1.98 cfm@0psi (fast fill)
    Fills up to 33″ tires
    20 ft maximum reach
No cigarette lighter adapter, works off battery clips (lighter adapters often limit attached accessories to 15 amps)

Hopefully I won’t have occasion to use it for a while!
