Images from a couple of visits to Great Basin National Park in Eastern Nevada over the past few months. The snow was still melting in early July, then the fall colors were starting by late September. Short season!
One of my main objectives for my fall visit was this rusty car, with the south/southwest Milky Way position.
I was also curious to see how the fall colors would be in Great Basin National Park.
By coincidence, my visit coincided with the Astronomy Festival in Great Basin, so I stopped by to look through a few telescopes. It’s fun to see planets, galaxies and nebulae directly, but it always amazes me how much better the images look after a little processing!
