Winter Sunset at Mono Lake

This is a typical sunset for Mono Lake this time of year, captured in late January 2009.  I hope to get a shot like this tomorrow, except with a nearly-full moon rising in the composition!

I've written a some blog articles on how to anticipate full moon rise opportunities:

Album of my photos from a few years ago
I wanted to show you this with an album of photos from my blog over on Blogspot (www.activesole.blogspot.com), but I seem to be running into a G+ bug where older albums don't update their cover photo when you repost photos from them (one of the features I love most about G+ over other sites).  Oh well, if you read this far, you can go straight to the album using this link: https://plus.google.com/photos/+JeffreySullivan/albums/5110510049163163345

  1. Yes +Khalid Issam, this image from four years ago is from when I was still creating a fair number of HDRs, which can create colorful and dramatic results, but unfortunately HDR processing also affects the colors and realism of the result.  I rarely use HDR processing any more.  (I find Adobe Lightroom to be a much more effective tool for post-processing today.)
