It's been a couple of years since +Lori Hibbett and I visited this amazing place, but we hope to be able to return here again this year, this time with wider-angle lenses!.

I have never been, only seen pics…but that place is magic ~
Awesome shot!
아름다운 작품 입니다.
Heemoso!!
Still a beautiful shot brother wide angle or not, just being there must have been breath taking to say the least.
I went there many years ago, before it became such a popular attraction. I had to ask around in town for a guide that could take me there. I was allowed three hours in the canyon with only two other photographers. And this was at noon in summer, the only time to capture shafts of light! Now it is a bustling tourist attraction with bus loads of people visiting. I guess we can thank the Internet and sites like Flickr for that.
I captured the shaft of light on medium format film. It was a 45 second exposure to accommodate the reciprocity failure of film. I like the older images of the canyon because of the blue shift of film, it makes for a more colorful (but unrealistic) image. 🙂
