Flip Over Dana Allen's Photostream (not my photo)

For Selfless Sunday I'd like to highlight the work of +Dana Allen.  Drop by his stream and see more of his images, and you'll be amazed that he doesn't ahve more people following him (I suspect that will change).

Photographers select some of their best work to share on G+, then someone shares some of the favorites images and photographers they've found via #selflesssunday .  I select some of the best of those to feature on the  +#SelflessSunday Theme on G+ page.  It's a selection from a selection of a selection!

If you'd like to participate in a Sunday photography theme on G+, here's a list on the +Daily Photography Themes page: https://plus.google.com/b/115836050706497275121/104772045073519492155/posts/YCo5Wzudx9e
Just include the hash tag like #SelflessSunday  and the names of the curators in your post.  (+Lori Hibbett and I curate SelflessSunday.)

  1. Yes +yoyok mariawan, this reminds me of fishing for some of the trout around here.  I was once fishing for yellowfin and albacore tuna off of Ensenada, Mexico, and a huge sailfish jumped clear out of the water next to our lures, shaking its head.

I think it must have come from behind and bit one of our lures, but it either missed completely or it was going so fast that it was able to spit out the lure before getting hooked.  No one else on the boat saw it; the entire encounter was over in an instant.

  2. hahaha ikannya lepas ya mas jeff, berarti anda kurang beruntung.
    not your lucky day
in my country, usually for shark fishing, using bait fresh baby, uhhhhh sadistic. baby you know what? is baby tuna, not a human baby
    hahahahaha just kidding brother

  3. It looks like a seal (or sea lion) +Mahesh K.  The great white sharks love to hang around their rookeries and ambush adults travelling in and out.  Apparently one reason so many people survive great white shark attacks is that we don't taste rich enough… not enough blubber like their natural food sources.

  4. Off the coast of California +yoyok mariawan, researchers studying the attack habits of great white sharks would troll a long piece of carpet cut to look like the outline of a sea lion.  The sharks would come up and attack them like this.  (The sharks are protected by law here now, so it's not something anyone can go try.)
