This was the best view of Comet PANSTARRS I was able to get last week. We've had hazy skies since then, but I was able to capture it again last night. I'm working on those images now.

+Gailen Mapes It can be tough to spot. On the 12th I could see it with my eyes, but then on the 13th it was just hazy enough that I could see the crescent moon but not the comet. Then last night the comet never got bright enough to see well without magnification. I could never find it with small binoculars or even with my eyes while looking through a 105mm or 200mm lens. I found it only by shooting at 200mm, then finding the comet reviewing the photos at 10x magnification on the back of my camera.
+Karuna Khandelwal Once I read an article which said that the comet would be beside the moon on March 12, I was able to use +The Photographer's Ephemeris to anticipate where the moon and comet would be on a +Google Earth map, and plan for the several time-lapse videos I captured of it: http://jeffsullivan.smugmug.com/Landscapes/Stock-Video/Video-Mono-Lake-Eastern-Sierra/27297879_rGMVwP#!i=2423083546&k=5SkQcVD
