Test of Nik Silver Efex Pro 2

Another shot from the photowalk at Little Corona Beach in southern California last week.

I processed this in Nik Software's Silver Efex Pro 2 before my (too brief)  trial ran out.  When I sit back from the screen I see an eagle in the clouds… or is that sunglasses on a face?  I'd love to buy the software, but money really doesn't grow on trees (I know, I hang out with a lot of trees).  I have over $15,000 in medical bills to deal with first.  Hospitals make fraudulent claims about your eligibility for programs, then won't give you any information on cost or let you make decisions: you're essentially kidnapped until they decide to let you go.  Then they send you a ridiculous bill.  The Mafia can't legally do what they do all day and all night, every day.  (If ObamaCare forces me to buy insurance but doesn't dramatically reduce the current absurd rates, I'll be triple-screwed.)

  1. Stunning work. So sorry for the issues with medical bills. Sadly, this country's medical care is run by the insurance companies. They hold patients hostage and control all that physicians do. They work with all the pharmaceutical companies and artificially inflate the costs of medications and all medical equipment from band aids to artificial joints. I could write a book describing the incredible amounts of money spent paying MDs to use their products. It would shock most people. Imagine your doctor going grocery shopping with a company representative who, after giving their speech, whips out the credit card, paying for $300 of groceries. ( As if the MDs can't afford food and toilet paper.) Ever heard of "Dine & Dash?" I have. And, it is widespread. Recently, a large insurance company partnered with a NJ hospital in a "cohesive" relationship. Dangerous is my description.
These issues are not something that Canadians and Europeans have to deal with. I pray that some day, America will realize, socialized medicine works for all, especially patients. Sorry for ranting; this is a subject that I am passionate about.
