HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI HIBBETT!

Drop by and tell her "hi"!

Reshared post from +Lori Hibbett

So I was told this shot is boring.  What do you think?
ps.  No layering; this is a single shot.  This opportunity happens just a few times a year.

  1. This was a scouting/practice trip for our upcoming Yosemite workshop in November +Brian Waddle.  In landscape photography specific locations/events get super-crowded if they're publicized on the internet, and that harms the uniqueness and value of the shots taken there, so unfortunately the location will have to remain a mystery (except of course for the people who choose to join us).

  2. Oops, a week and a couple days late for that wishing! Late Happy Birthday, +Lori Hibbett !!!

Debbie and I were enjoying the "South of Yosemite" country in the Sierra NF, before pausing at Wawona before discovering at Tunnel View that Hy 120 west had reopened, and viewing the Rim Fire area by fading dusk lighting.

Question, +Jeff Sullivan  – what have you included in the book text on the "between the national parks" part of the Sierra? It's certainly an overlooked mountain landscape (heck, it took us 34 years to get back there after a vehicle breakdown in July 1979!) We enjoyed the Sugar Pine-Nelder Grove-Bass Lake-North Fork-Mile High area, and didn't even do any real wandering.
