Howling at the Moon

Chasing the full moon and lunar eclipse across three locations from sunset to sunrise. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the blue planet Uranus next to the red, eclipsed moon in my telephoto shots: http://activesole.blogspot.com/2015/06/lunar-eclipse-photography-october-2014.html
+The Huffington Post UK published one of my photos from this night, the composite image that I entered into the 2015 Astronomy Photographer of the Year contest, so I decided to show some of the other photos from the night as well.

This is my third blog post today to my "old" blog at: www.MyPhotoGuides.com +Royal Museums Greenwich

  1. Just the other night I'm standing outside looking at the full moon wondering why there is not a site i can go to and read about the earth and moon how we travel around it everyday. Hmm

  2. +Danica Macanga While the moon was in its lunar eclipse it was very close to the blue planet Uranus, so one of the photos I included has that little round blue dot next to the red, eclipsed moon. I hadn't known that Uranus would be there, so when I read about that the following day, it was a pleasant surprise to have it there, included in my shots!
