With rain falling in Death Valley this morning and more storms lined up in the Pacific to follow, I looked up some of my photos of past instances of lake Manly forming in the flooded Badwater Basin.
Ocean temperatures are shaping up to look like we may have a wet El Niño weather pattern this winter:

So perhaps we’ll have water in Lake Manly in Badwater Basin for my December 10 – 14 workshop? I sure hope so!
Water is a precious commodity in Death Valley. Fortunately there are some springs that rarely run dry.
And even if the water isn’t there, the photography opportunities are endless and stunning!
